The last edition of RMTnext in 2024 is waiting for you. It promises to be a great edition with a new collection presentation, unique collaboration partner, speed tours, curator talk, cocktails and much more! Read on quickly for the complete programme.
RMTnext x TR.EAT | 19.00u - 22.00u
This evening, collective TR.EAT Your Girl Right will bring the museum to life with a mix of soul and R&B. In the museum café, several DJs in a boiler room set-up will create the perfect atmosphere. In addition, you can expect a unique live music performance in the museum hall - music you will experience in the middle of art. Are you ready for a museum experience with a twist?
Curator Talk | 19.45u - 20.15u
Curious about the stories behind the art? Curators Nelleke de Vries and Josien Beltman of Rijksmuseum Twenthe take you through the creation of the latest collection presentation, Me, the Other and the Earth. In this special exhibition, social themes come to life in a surprising mix of contemporary and ancient art.
Workshop | 19.00u - 22.00u
The end of the year is approaching, and what could be more fitting for the holidays than making your own Christmas ornament? Unleash your creativity in this last workshop of the year! Get to work with different materials and draw inspiration from the art around you. Take home your unique, homemade Christmas ornament-ready to take pride of place on your tree.
Drinks & snacks | 19.00u - 22.00u
On an evening like this, a drink and a snack should not be missing, of course! Among other things, we have special beers from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, savoury snacks from ETN and home-made cocktails such as an Aperol Spritz or Gin Tonic. Rather not have an alcoholic drink? No problem! We've thought of that too.
Gotta Catch Them All | 19.00u - 22.00u
Would you like to take an assignment into the museum to discover details of works you would otherwise just walk past? Then take the Gotta Catch Them All search sheet with you and try to link the details you see to the right work. Found everything? Turn in the search sheet and receive a nice prize.
Speedtour ‘I, the other & the earth’ | 19.15h - 19.45h [NL]
At lightning speed, you will be taken through the exhibition by one of our project leaders. Find out more about the themes and masterpieces in the exhibition. Sign up at the desk on the evening to participate.
Sicktour | 20.30u [EN]
Let Marie from Sickhouse take you through the new permanent collection presentation. What exactly to expect? That's a surprise. You can sign up at the front desk.
Free entrance for students
During RMTnext evenings, the museum is open between 7pm-2pm. Normal museum admission prices apply for the evenings. For students, entrance is free! Curious? Follow us on Instagram at @rijksmuseum_twenthe.
